The Family Resource Center of Raleigh will celebrate “Building a Strong Foundation”Black Marriage Day (BMD) on March 22, 2014 at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Raleigh (Brownstone University) in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. It’s no secret that marriage in the United States has hit an all time low from 72% to 50%. And in the Black community, the rate is the lowest. Since its inception, BMD has been a national initiative focused on providing essential tools and solutions in real life situations for singles and couples.

Marriage is the foundation of a healthy family and community. Along with The Wedded Bliss Foundation, we want to celebrate, promote and encourage marriage in the black community. In addition to fine dining, entertainment, dancing and recommitment, we will honor three couples from the local community.
In support of this effort, we are asking for your financial or in-kind donation so that we can keep the banquet affordable for all that would like to attend and sponsor the honorees and other guests that may not otherwise be able to attend, particularly some of our young community members. Donations can be made by clicking below or mailing your check made payable to Abundance of Good to 6010 Millstone Drive, Durham, NC 27713.
